McCain’s Face Is To Clemens’ Butt As…

In my last post I talked about John McCain’s ignorance concerning the cause of autism; an issue that gets decent media coverage and one any presidential frontrunner should be versed in. To follow-up, I wonder how the Arizona senator can be so against the teachings of science when he relies on its modern-day miracles to keep his face frozen in place for his public appearances.

The rumors are still flying about whether or not — and if so, how much — John McCain frequently stiffens his face with Botox. The consensus seems to be that he does; the angry question now is “Why isn’t the mainstream media attacking?” John Seery at The Huffington Post raised this issue two weeks ago and I’ve yet to see anything significant come out from the MSM.

Seery pointed out that John Kerry was attacked in 2004 for possible Botox injections and John Edwards has been denounced for his $400 haircuts. Is McCain going to get a free pass?

I’m starting to lose the ability to see a huge difference between what Roger Clemens injected into his butt versus what John McCain injects into his face. Both are using drugs to boost their performance in a competitive arena, and both are trying to mask liabilities associated with the aging process. If we’re going to ban steroids in athletics, shouldn’t we be thinking about banning or at least eschewing performance-enhancing drugs in the body politic?
